We Carry Red Line
Multi-Grade and Synthetic Race Oils:

Red
Line Engine Oils are designed to provide
highest performance, best durability, ultimate protection and
outstanding cleanliness along with lowest friction to your
automotive, motorcycle, marine or stationary engine running on
gasoline, diesel, alcohol or natural gas fuel.
Red Line, uses the
most stable synthetic lubricant base stocks available and formulate
our products for wear protection and friction reduction across a
wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line lubricants are
unique because they contain polyester base stocks, the only
lubricant base stock type that withstands the incredible heat
present in the hot sections of jet engines.
This high-temperature stability makes
Red Line Engine Oils a necessity for proper lubrication of
high-performance engines, turbo-charged engines, heavily loaded
truck engines or any engine that runs high engine oil temperature.
Red Line is not just for high-performance and racing. Ordinary cars
and trucks that see "daily driver" duty benefit greatly when their
engines are lubricated with Red Line engine oils. More performance,
better fuel economy and increased durability come with use of our
oils in daily drivers.
Because
of the robust polyester base stock and high-performance
anticorrosive additive package in Red Line oils, they are ideal for
use in street-driven vehicles at extended drain intervals. Red Line
recommends oil changes for engines that are in good condition and do
not see frequent starts without warm-ups or short-trips at between
10,000 and 18,000 miles for gasoline engines, 10,000 and 12,000
miles for diesel engines, or every 12 months, whichever is
shorter.
Red Line 5W30:
Provides the quickest starts and fastest oil pressure rise. Will
reduce turbo lag and provides more power and best economy in an
engine in good condition. Replacement for OE factory-fill oils in
passenger cars and most light trucks. Thicker oil film at
operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. Best choice for
engines operated in extreme cold weather.
Red Line 10W30:
Best all-weather viscosity grade for gasoline engines in cars and
light trucks that are driven on the street on a daily basis.
Reduces turbo lag and provides more power and economy while
providing thicker bearing oil films at operating temperature than
a petroleum 10W-40. Best all-round, synthetic oil for stock or
slightly modified engines in high- performance cars that are
street-driven. Best choice to replace a 5W-30 or 10W-30,
petroleum-based or other-brand synthetic oil if maximum
durability is preferred. Acceptable for engines that are
occasionally operated in extreme cold weather.
Red Line 10W40:
Best choice for engines that typically run high oil temperature.
Best choice for engines in daily drivers operated in very hot
weather on a regular basis. Best choice for medium and heavy duty
gasoline engines in trucks. Best choice for high-performance
engines that see street as well as frequent racetrack duty.
Thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petro-based
20W-50.
Red Line 15W50 &
20W50: The ultimate high-temperature protection in
Red Line engine oils recommended for street use. Good for engines
that regularly run very high oil temperatures. Best for engines
that run large clearances such as air-cooled engines or
large-displacement, all-out racing engines that see occasional
street use. Provides 25% more viscosity in bearings than petroleum
20W-50s. Not recommended for use in cold climates where
temperatures are at or below 10°F or -12°C. Not recommended for
street use in production engines that see sustained oil
temperatures below 225°F. Those engines should use Red Line 10W-30
or 10W-40.
Red
Line Race Oils have gained a reputation as the
ultimate racing lubricant. Marketers of other lubricants
unsuccessfully claim to be "as good as Red Line." Our lubricants are
used by many teams who have found that the improved performance and
equipment durability is the key to winning. Our race oils are made
with the most thermally stable synthetic base stocks available and
provide the best high-temperature lubrication and a higher film
strength than any petroleum or synthetic product marketed. The
ability of Red Line Oil to lubricate hot metal has enabled many cars
to not only finish, but to win races after losing coolant, without
serious damage to the engine. Even though Red Line Race Oils are
straight grades, their low-temperature properties make them
exceptional multigrades. Red Line Race Oils allow 2-4% more power
than an oil of similar viscosity, while providing much more
protection. Each reduction in viscosity grade allows 1-2% more
power. To reduce the chance of detonation, our race oils contain
very few detergents and are not recommended for street use.
SAE 10
(0W10) - for drag racing and circle track qualifying
where the lowest internal friction is desired.
SAE 20 (5W20) -
for drag racing, circle track qualifying and race engines designed
for low-viscosity oils.
SAE 30 (10W30) -
suitable in well balanced racing engines for sustained high-speed
use where low internal friction is desired.
SAE 40 (15W40) -
for use where temperatures may be high and when a wide range in
RPMs and speeds will be encountered.
SAE 50 (15W50) -
for use where extremely high temperatures may be encountered and
when engine durability is the primary concern.

RED LINE MTL
and MT-90 are designed to provide excellent protection
and improved shiftability for manual transmissions and transaxles.
MTL and MT-90 have cured the problem of hard shifting in numerous
transmissions which have notoriously difficult shifting. The secret
to their success is two-fold. First, they have the appropriate
coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers.
Many gear oils, engine oils, and ATFs are too slippery for proper
synchro engagement. Secondly, the viscosity characteristics of MTL
and MT-90 allow proper shifting over the entire temperature range
which the transmission will experience. The synthetic base oils used
have a very high viscosity index which provides relatively constant
viscosity as temperature changes. MTL is a low 70W at very low
temperatures and a high 80W, nearly an 85W, at elevated
temperatures, providing adequate viscosity to prevent wear and
deaden gear noise. MT-90 is a thicker 75W90 version of MTL. The
shear stability and oxidation stability of these products are
excellent, thus the physical characteristics of Red Line MTL and
MT-90 will change little with use. Red
Line MTL and MT-90 provide the excellent gear protection of a GL-4
gear oil in a synthetic lubricant which spans hot and cold
temperatures and will not shear or oxidize with use.
Red Line MTL is classified as a 70W80 gear
lubricant satisfying the API Service requirements of GL-3 and GL-4.
MTL also satisfies motor oil viscosities SAE 5W/10W/30, and the
viscosity requirements for ATFs. MT-90 is a 75W90 GL-4 and also
satisfies motor oil viscosities SAE 10W/15W/40. The additive
chemistry used is non-corrosive, so even though they will provide
GL-4 performance, they will not corrode synchros or bushings.
Because of its low corrosivity, Red Line MTL and MT-90 could also be
used in transmissions requiring GL-1 or GL-3 lubricants. Seal
compatibility is designed to be similar to petroleum-based
lubricants.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE Red Line MTL may be used in
transmissions which recommend 70W, 75W, 80W, or 85W GL-4 gear oils,
or SAE 30 or 5W/10W30 motor oils . If a 90W GL-4 or SAE 40,
10W40, or 15W40 is required, MT-90 may be used. If the transmission
or transaxle requires an SAE 90 GL-5 gear oil, then Red Line 75W90NS
or 75W140NS Gear Oil may be used. In transmissions which recommend
Dexron or Mercon fluids we recommend our D4 ATF which is very
similar to the MTL, being a GL-4 Gear Oil also. The D4 ATF will
provide better low-temperature shiftability, and the MTL would
provide better wear protection for racing use. MTL is not designed
for use in rear-wheel drive differentials. Those generally require a
GL-5 lubricant such as Red Line 75W90 Gear Oil. It is not necessary
to flush the transmission before replacing with MTL. Remove the
drain plug and drain while warm. Seal compatibility has been
designed to be similar to petroleum lubricants, and leakage should
be no greater than any other oil of comparable viscosity. Being
formulated with extremely stable synthetic basestocks, MTL and MT-90
will last much longer than conventional petroleum lubricants.
However, we do not recommend extended drain intervals, since without
a filtration system, there is no way to remove metal shavings other
than draining the lubricant. The regular maintenance intervals are
also recommended to insure that the proper level of the fluid is
maintained.

synthetic racing gear oil
A synthetic gear
oil of SAE 75W viscosity developed exclusively for racing
transmissions. This grade has a naturally high viscosity index
(ensuring good low temperature performance) and excellent shear
strength, as well as possessing an inherently excellent load
carrying capability.
The synthetic
materials used for this formulation have an oxidation stability of 3
to 4 times that of conventional mineral
oils, prolonging
the effective life of the lubricant under extreme working
conditions. Coupled with this, the lower friction value leads to
reduced pitting and wear of the gear teeth. Pro SRG 75 provides very
superior protection and performance under the most demanding race
conditions. Its unique combination of low viscosity and high
load carrying ability ensures good lubrication and prevents
overheating in gearbox components such as selector forks and
bearings which are often starved of lubrication with conventional
